About SelfHostSolutions
SelfHostSolutions is a self-hosting services business based in Patna, Bihar. We help small businesses, clinics, colleges, and startups across India replace expensive SaaS tools with self-hosted open-source software — set up, configured, and maintained by us.
We got our start the practical way: setting up Invoice Ninja to replace the invoicing software a network of local businesses in Patna were relying on, and building their websites on a server they own. From there we deployed a full self-hosted system for a 250-student college in Bihar, replacing their cloud storage with an on-premise Nextcloud instance running on a Mac Mini.
That is the experience behind everything we do. Real deployments, real savings, and a simple belief: Indian businesses should own their software — not rent it forever.
This website runs on our own server
SelfHostSolutions.com is hosted on a self-hosted server in Patna — not on AWS, not on GoDaddy, not on any third-party cloud. It runs as a Next.js app in a Docker container, managed with the same tools we deploy for clients.
We think that is important. If we are asking businesses to trust self-hosted infrastructure with their data, we should be running it ourselves. Everything we recommend, we have already deployed and tested in our own homelab.

About the founder
SelfHostSolutions was founded by a self-hosting enthusiast and infrastructure consultant based in Patna, Bihar. He got into self-hosting out of the same frustration most business owners feel — paying recurring fees, month after month, for software that could just as easily run on a server you own.
After building his first homelab and seeing how capable open-source tools like Nextcloud, Invoice Ninja, and Proxmox had become, he started helping local businesses make the switch — and went on to deploy a full on-premise system for a 250-student college. That hands-on experience, across real businesses and a real institution, is the foundation this company is built on.
